So...
I despise parents who do not read to their youngsters.
I am sick of children not being encouraged to read.
I am sick of teenagers saying they hate reading.
I dislike being in the presence of young adults who cannot string two words together or read out loud.
I dislike people who say they don't have enough time to read, or they simply can't be bothered.
Each and every single person needs to read. It shouldn't be a chore or task, it should be an enjoyable event that can be shared with friends and family.
People claim they read the latest releases on their Kindle's or download them as eBooks. But where is the pleasure in the digital form? You don't get to experience the smell of fresh pages, the warm tingly sensation of turning a page or the actual physical feeling of holding a good ol' hardback or paperback in your hands.
This blog is to encourage people to get out and buy or borrow books. There will be no specific focus, books for children, adults and teens will be looked at. The aim is to give people knowledge of some of the greats authors and books that are out there, and how and why they should get their hands on an actual book.
