The Get Reading campaign starts in a few weeks on the 29th of August.
This is an initiative run by the Australian Government to try and get people to read.
A list of 50 books that you 'can't put down' is selected, and when one of these titles is purchased, the buyer receives a free book. This year's free books are 10 Short Stories You Must Read in 2011, which includes contributions from Larissa Behrendt, John Birmingham, James Bradley, Miranda Darling, Cate Kennedy, Caroline Overington, James Phelen, Jessica Rudd and Charlotte Wood for adult readers and The Land of Dragons by children’s author Emily Rodda.
